Debbie Mobbs

Occupational Therapist

Debbie trained at the University of Cape Town and has been a qualified Occupational Therapist for over 15 years, with a special interest in paediatrics. During this time, she has lived and worked in South Africa as well as the United Kingdom. She has special interests in the Neurodevelopmental (Bobath) and Sensory Integration approaches to intervention, and has completed a number of courses to further specialise in these areas.

Debbie has experience working with a wide variety of conditions and difficulties, including

  • developmental delay,
  • school readiness,
  • handwriting,
  • visual perception,
  • motor co-ordination (gross and fine),
  • sensory, and
  • neurological conditions (such as cerebral palsy).

Her intervention includes working with children from their early years through to young adults, within educational and community settings such as mainstream and special schools, homes, play groups and therapy centres.

Debbie is an energetic mother of two young boys and a girl, who wanted to combine her love for being a mom with her career passion of being a paediatric Occupational Therapist - a dream which was realised with the launch of this private practice.
